Colors of Charity 2023

For my first year participating in the charity auction, I created the piece 852hz Love Frequency under the gala theme The Sound of Music. Drawing inspiration from the origins of music, I decided to highlight the djembe drum, invented by the Mandinke tribe in what is now Mali. Further inspired by Mali, I incorporated traditional Malian patterns into the fabric of the drummer’s garment.
